Spock

Spock is currently on sabbatical at Dr. Dobyns' home until the completion of the current construction project at MRVH.  He is currently learning the joys of running up and down stairs and sleeping in a cushy bed at night.  Once the construction is complete in spring of 2012, he will return to his hospital work full time.  Even while on sabbatical, he is still volunteering with the Animal Assisted Therapy program at Augusta Health and Western State Hospital.

McCormick

McCormick has been living here at MRVH since November 2010, and he has taken over the hospital kitty responsibilities while Spock is out on sabbatical.   He keeps watch over the staff and is honing his talents at monitoring patients.

Tish Holden, LVT

Tish is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She attended Blue Ridge Community College and received her Veterinary Technician degree in 1995. Away from work, she spends her time running her kids Blake and Allee to their many school functions and sporting events. Her four legged family includes her 2 year old chinchilla, Wally Kringle, 8 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Poppy, and 10 year old black & white cat Cracker.

Caitlyn Painter, Assistant

Caitlyn is a part-time Veterinary Assistant.  She attends Blue Ridge Community College, where she has started the Veterinary technology program.   In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Geoff.  Her 4-legged family includes 3 kitties - Alaska, Coors and Jodi - and Casey the Black Lab. She also just adopted a very sweet and loving Border Collie Mix named Nelly. 


Dian Thompson, Office Manager 

Dian is our office manager and head receptionist. At home, she and her husband Cecil keep busy caring for their numerous pets on their "mini-farm." On sunny days, you'll find them riding on their Quarter Horses, Jack and Peppy.  Annie - a high energy cattle dog - is the newest addition to the family.

Beth Stover, LVT

Beth is a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician.  She also attended Blue Ridge Community College and graduated with her Veterinary Technician degree in 2001. She also runs her own pet-sitting business. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horses, playing with the many other critters on her "mini-farm" and spending time with her husband JJ.
